The National Gallery in London has implemented lighting solutions from Lucent Lighting as part of its £85m NG200 Welcome building programme initiated to mark the National Gallery’s 200th anniversary.

Lucent Lighting collaborated with the design team to provide architectural lighting solutions tailored to the specific needs of each area. The luminaires are designed for various spaces, including hospitality and circulation zones, focusing on performance and visual comfort. A significant feature of the lighting is the integration of tuneable white luminaires, which allow for adjustable colour temperature to support diverse functions.

The lighting solutions aim to improve accessibility and create an inclusive experience for visitors.

The overall building project, led by Selldorf Architects and developed in collaboration with heritage architects Purcell, aims to enhance the visitor experience in the Sainsbury Wing.
