Forza Doors supplies bespoke fire-rated doors to Covent Garden One Smart’s Place development

Timber fire door manufacturer Forza Doors has supplied bespoke fire-rated interior doors to the One Smart’s Place development in Covent Garden.

The One Smart’s Place scheme offers over 3,000ft² of Cat A+ workspace and a 1,200ft²  business lounge, The Press.

Subcontractor GPL Projects was briefed to deliver Thirdway’s design vision: an expressive, hospitality-inspired space that breaks away from the corporate norm. Working on behalf of Baumont Real Estate, GPL collaborated with Forza Doors to supply doors that supported the aesthetic – bold burgundy and scarlet tones, paired with natural materials and warm woods, with Custom Kit Kat Barn Red Tiles in the reception and biophilic details throughout – while meeting stringent safety, acoustic, and sustainability standards.  

Products supplied included bespoke FD60 and FD120 fire doors, providing 60 and 120 minutes of fire resistance, respectively. Both the timber doors and solid timber frames were stained and finished in-house to match the project control samples. 

All the fire doors were manufactured and third-party certified to meet UK regulations and client-specific requirements. Forza Doors’ ongoing investment in fire testing and certification – including verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) – reassured GPL and Thirdway through proven safety and sustainability performance.
