WHY

Year Established: 2023

Inspiration to Start:

The co-founders met while working together at a previous practice, quickly establishing an intuitive creative synergy. Their complementary skills—narrative-driven design, strategic thinking, and a strong architectural foundation—led to the creation of ForEveryday.Life. In a rapidly evolving world, the studio aims to create impactful work across various formats and disciplines, aspiring to be a reference point in the design industry, encapsulated in their motto, “Shaping What’s Next.” By removing traditional categories from their portfolio, they focus on collaborating with clients who value creativity, laying the groundwork for a successful and enduring studio.

First Major Commission:

Their inaugural project was a submission for the Initiative 99 competition with ICON Build in Texas, proposing a 3D-printed home for families affected by Hurricane Maria in Salinas, Puerto Rico. This design emphasised resilience, dignity, and community, and earned them their first award recognition, culminating in a presentation at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.

Upcoming Events:

Earlier this year, the team showcased their 3D-printed housing proposals at the Surface Design Show in London. Later in the year, they presented their “Futures Lab” initiative at Material Matters during the London Design Festival, alongside the launch of their first publication—a 200-page curated journal featuring research, interviews, and speculative projects.

Future Plans:

With established studios in Shoreditch, London, and Brooklyn, New York, ForEveryday.Life is currently engaged in a branding project in Switzerland, developing a new lighting product in the UK, and expanding their team to tackle large-scale retrofit and reuse projects in London and Sicily.

WHAT

Futures Lab (2024 – Ongoing)

Launched concurrently with the studio, Futures Lab aims to create strategic partnerships that envision and advocate for resilient futures through creativity. With an international advisory panel, the initiative explores speculative futures through architecture, systems thinking, storytelling, and policy-making. The 2025 theme, “Abundance & Scarcity,” invites multidisciplinary partners from LA, Paris, and Amsterdam to respond to contemporary challenges.

Siegelman Stable – Manhattan and Hamptons Installations (2023 – 2024)

This project features immersive retail environments designed for Siegelman Stable, a luxury fashion label that merges equestrian heritage with New York streetwear. The installations in Manhattan and the Hamptons serve as brand experiences, utilising a bold palette of glass block, steel, vintage fixtures, and tactile materials to create a layered spatial identity that reflects the brand’s values.

Project Alba and Housing Salinas – Initiative 99 (2023 – 2024)

These proposals for ICON Build’s Initiative 99 competition focus on affordable, dignified, and resilient housing through 3D-printed construction. Project Alba reimagines suburban single-occupant homes in Austin, Texas, while Housing Salinas addresses post-disaster housing needs in Puerto Rico. This project marked their first international architectural award, leading to an invitation to present at SXSW.
