The renovations created 85 new suites and rooms, which accounts for about 45% of the total guest room inventory. The suites on the 30th floor also underwent a complete redecoration as a part of the renovation process. These suits cover an area of 650 square feet, exhibiting exquisite features such as Frette linens on a king-size bed, a spacious living room with adjacent dining room, designer bathrooms featuring Breccia and Empress marble and a wet bar area. The suites also sport tall windows with a ceiling height of 8 to 10 feet, displaying a full view of New York City.
The 160 to 338-square-feet separate living rooms feature Scott Jordan patented sofa beds with Frette linens. The refurbished bedroom closets, configured by the California Closets, create additional storage space. The kitchens are provided with a microwave, a coffee maker and a small refrigerator. All of these suites provide internet access which is absolutely free of charge. Mujo Perezic, General Manager of The Kimberly Hotel, said that the approach towards the renovation was different from the other hotels in New York, as comfort, style and spaciousness were primarily focused. “The 30th floor was completely refurbished to accommodate the needs of many travellers, offering them the conveniences of a thoughtfully appointed home-like ambiance in a luxurious setting,” he added.
The suites are ideal for tourists, families, business executives or couples.
Among the other amenities, the guests were also treated with a free membership of the New York Health & Racquet Club and a cruise trip on the Kimberly Hotel’s private 75-foot yacht, offering seasonal three-hour tours along the Hudson River.
