Part of Blue Chip’s $130 million expansion project, the luxury hotel tower has 272 premium rooms and 30 suites which combine nautical themes with Las Vegas-styling. The hotel itself is decorated in different shades of blue glass and a curtain wall made of aluminum. Entry to each floor features LED banding. Also on each floor are rooms that offer a majestic view of Lake Michigan.

Designed by Las Vegas-based CLEO Design, the premium rooms measure 415 square feet and feature a button at the bedside that displays a ‘do not disturb’ light right outside the door.

The rooms have contemporary style millwork with white and cream organic textures and finishes, plus floor-to-ceiling windows. Facilities provided include white bedding, pillow top mattresses, headboard reading lights, AV connectivity panels, flat-screen TVs and high-speed Internet connectivity.

Besides premium rooms, the hotel offers Vista and Solara suites that measure 560 square feet, Bella Vista and Lake View suites that measure 880 square feet, Sky View suites that measure 1,170 square feet and The Loft signature suite that measures 1,575 square feet.

The expansion project also includes a 10,000-square foot casino-based spa, spa blu, which includes a wet treatment room, two rooms for facials, treatment rooms for couples and four single massage rooms.

Besides a coffee shop, a buffet, a steakhouse, and a bar, the property also has two new restaurants. The Game with 116-seating capacity is a new restaurant that offers a game-day menu, while It’s Vegas Baby restaurant offers specialty drink selection and American classic cuisine.

The Stardust Event Center is a 20,000-square-foot multifunctional facility that is suitable for trade shows, conventions, meetings, weddings, concerts and stage productions. The center has a main ballroom with 15,000 square feet of space and 1,300 seating capacity.

Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, a Boyd Gaming property, has two hotel towers with 486 luxury rooms, a 65,000-square-foot single-level casino, six restaurants, a coffee bar, a spa, full-service salon and fitness center, two gift shops and a convention center.

The Spa Blu Tower is one of the biggest buildings in Northwest Indiana, and was designed by Lucien Lagrange of Lucien Lagrange Architects, based in Chicago.
