The $19 million facility will spread over 51,500 square feet, and will be located next to the Slidell Memorial Hospital Founder’s Building.

The facility will be sprea across three levels, and will feature latest technology required for cancer treatment. It plans to include amenities like image-guided radiation therapy, nanotechnology for drug delivery, specialized ultrasound, and genetic testing within the facility.

AE Design of Marietta, Georgia, has been selected to design the new cancer facility, while Citadel Builders of Metairie will construct the center. The project is slated to be complete in the next 12 to 15 months.
