The Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk, opened in mid-October 2009 and the Hotel Indigo San Antonio at the Alamo, to be opened by early 2010, join properties in Dallas and Houston for a total of four in the Lone Star State.
The Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk is located on the north end of San Antonio’s historic River Walk area. The renovations of this conversion property reflect the liveliness of the surrounding historic neighborhood with unique architecture, rich colors, and warm finishes. Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk features 149 airy suites. The hotel is owned by RW Hotel Associates, LP, and managed by Trans Inns Management, Inc. under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
The Hotel Indigo San Antonio at the Alamo is located just across from the historical Alamo in the historic Gibbs Building. The 100-year-old building has been renovated into a 91-room property, including 28 suites, while still retaining all its original wood work and marble. The hotel is owned by 1909 Ltd. and will be managed by InterContinental Hotels Group, Inc., on behalf of 1909 Ltd.
Both the hotels are conveniently located near the River Walk entertainment district, the historic Alamo, Baptist Medical Center and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The San Antonio International Airport is also within close proximity to the hotels, making it convenient for both leisure and business travelers.
Both hotels feature guest rooms with plush bedding, high-definition flat screen TV, CD player and spa-inspired showers with Aveda products. Hard-surface flooring with area rugs create a fresh residential feel.
There are currently 33 Hotel Indigo properties open worldwide and more than 60 hotels under development, either in the pipeline or in final negotiation. By the end of 2009, Hotel Indigo is forecasted to almost double its footprint in the Americas by opening properties in New York City, Miami and Asheville, North Carolina.
