Conrad Shanghai, scheduled to open in 2010, reflects contemporary design, inspired by traditional Chinese motifs. The hotel’s architecture pays homage to one of the most influential dynasties to rule the Middle Kingdom, the Han Dynasty.

For dining, guests can choose from four restaurants and two bars. The all-day Darling Downs with show kitchen, serves modern Australian cuisine; Jun consists of nine private dining rooms offering contemporary Cantonese cuisine; La Bulle comprises three distinct dining experiences ranging from a lively Gastro Bar, a more formal French gastronomic experience, and one of the most exclusive private rooms in Shanghai. The hotel’s Japanese restaurant, Wabi Sabi, offers a twist on traditional Japanese cuisine and will feature a Sushi and Sashimi counter, a Japanese grill, as well as an intimate Japanese roof garden.

Choco Cannelle, the hotel’s boutique chocolate shop and bar, features a range of signature chocolate items. Guests can also relax and enjoy a drink in the Darling Downs Lounge.
