Located between Pollok Health Center and Pollok Leisure Center, Pollok Civic Realm, housing a café, library, museum, child-care facilities and other specialist social and healthcare related services, has integrated health and social work and leisure facilities.
Russell Baxter of Archial Architects says that the building has been so designed to create a colonnade providing a route interlinking the Pollok community with the new transport interchange and Silverburn shopping center.
With a single entrance access to the refurbished leisure center, new Pollok Library and Pollok Kist, GSWRA, South West Stress Center, Citizens Advice Bureau, café and the refurbished and expanded Health Center, visitors are encouraged to use all the amenities.
Baxter says that with the idea of creating a building that was fun to use, more colors and graphics have been introduced into the design.
