The mall, managed by Cafaro Company of Youngstown, Ohio, will receive interior renovations and there are no plans to alter the size of the mall, reports Monroe News.
The renovations to the shopping center will include upgrades from floor to ceiling, a renovated food court and new children’s play area, says Joe Bell, Cafaro’s corporate communications director.
Other changes include new carpeting, new porcelain tile, skylights, new artificial lighting systems and more energy efficient lighting in parking areas.
Exterior facades will also receive a makeover and graphics, and the mall logo will also be changed. The renovation project is expected to start by May 2009 and is scheduled for completion by November 2009.
A significant tenant is expected to occupy an empty anchor store spot in the mall, and other tenants are also in the pipeline. The mall is anchored by Target, Elder-Beerman and Sears and houses a recently renovated Phoenix Theatres complex.
Frenchtown Square Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Frenchtown Township, just outside the city of Monroe. Opened in 1989, it features more than fifty tenants, including a food court and movie theater.
