ADE is a graphical design tool to create and enhance airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
Version 1.40 of the ADE features Visual Approach Designer, a graphical interface for approach design that mimics the FSX GPS Display. With the new version, the ILS approach code can be automatically added when adding a user specified ILS.
The upgraded version can randomize parking order or drag the order of parking spots to suit the needs of an individual. Users can now import information from a bgl or xml files into an existing project.
A number of areas have been enhanced in the version. The editor allows use of a range of co-ordinate formats when entering locations, runway length of greater than 20,000 feet, inclusion of no crash and no autogen suppression of objects, locking of objects groups such as runways or aprons specific to each project.
Many bugs have been fixed including the one that caused ADE project files to grow in size and the one that caused objects to move after setting their position manually.
ADE aims to achieve two things in designing and enhancing airports: to make the enhanced airport look good and to make it work properly.
