The Royal Master Sealight Floor Lamp is a replica of an old British marine light, which was introduced in the 19th century to transmit Morse code, a type of character encoding that transmits telegraphic information using rhythm. The lamp is made from polished cast-aluminum and features a machine-turned gear mechanism, which allows the light to be easily repositioned.

The lamp displays a telescopic tripod stand base, which is adjustable from 61 inches to 94 inches in height. The light head is flexible and can be positioned upward or downward. The filament light bulb has been modified from the original design; a difference in the glow transmitted by the Royal Master is softer than that of the original. The lamp is available in floor, table and pendant models.

Restoration Hardware was founded in 1979, and has its headquarters in Corte Madera, California.
