The revamp will include adding a new restaurant, rooftop party deck, miniature golf and video batting tunnels, a plaza area, a retail store and a stage area for shows and bands.

The stadium will feature 360-degree concourse, additional rest rooms, bars, suites and group areas.

The project has been designed by HOK Sport and is being built by Walton Construction and the Hunt Construction Group.

The total seating capacity will decrease 6% to 38,177, while the number of suites will increase from 26 to 35.

The borders of the stadium also are being spruced up with about 60,000 plants added.

The outer façade of the stadium will feature a curtain of glass covering a four-story office building while the sides of the stadium are covered with perforated stainless steel and decorated with the Royals logo.

Some of the portals between the stands and the concourses have been widened to increase natural light while the concourse on the upper level has been expanded to provide space for food courts.
