The table is balanced on sturdy metal legs that slope and curve to the upper end. Its metal base provides a foundation for the table. The top is made of thick patterned ivory colored 25mm fossilstone.

Fossilstone is a compact stone containing conserved fossils, which are tens of million years old. The rough stone is cut into small slabs which are then selected and sorted according to color and texture. The wooden frame is covered with fossilstone by either a mosaic or parquet technique.
