The pop-up store is located at Place Beauvau 92 in Paris. The store’s exterior is designed to evoke the famous Parisian landmark – the Mirabel Bridge, the first bridge in Paris to be created from metal. The store, designed by Italian architect Roberto Baciocchi, will remain open for five months.
The outlet features prominent windows, illusory perspectives and a spacious double story layout. The design of the store blends Italian and French design elements uniquely. The bridge motif is shown heavily throughout the two-level store. The first floor features lilac carpeting, sofas and stoic bronze display cases while the second floor is furnished with softer aesthetic shades such as beige velvet, and is adorned with numerous mirrors lending a unique ambiance to the space.
The collections will be displayed in a space designed to resemble the cosmopolitan, outdoor life of Paris. It features a display of lavishly dressed mannequins arranged to recreate a common street scene. The 570 square meter space is designed to retain the chequered marble floor of Prada’s 1913 original store in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan.
