The Point which is set to open in early January 2010, is designed to become the largest shopping mall on the island with over 14,000 square meter of retail space. The EUR56 million ($80.6 million approx) mall is designed by London-based retail and office design consultants GMW and Maltese architectural practice aoM partnership.
The Point retail center is spread on four floors with the lowest floor entirely dedicated to car parking. The mall will be anchored by Debenhams, offering 3,000 square meters of department store. It will also feature international brands such as Massimo Dutti, Mango, Guess, Lacoste, Stradivarius, Gant, Reebok and Nike.
The offices at Tigne Point will stand to the north of the 3,600 square meter piazza. The trophy block will rise 12 floors. The ground floor will accommodate a design featured entrance lobby with accompanying retail, coffee shop or restaurant space, complementing the retail around the piazza.
