The US Green Building Council (USGBC) will carry out an independent document review, after which the final Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification will be awarded.
The complex is characterized by extensively landscaped outdoor areas and a grand lobby designed to reflect openness and flexibility, which form the key concepts of the design. Unconstrained circulation throughout these spaces is offered through the well-thought out design scheme.
The multi-purpose building scheme features a 120 meters high office tower. The tower is topped with a rooftop garden over a 21 meters high podium, which contains a health club with pool, conference and banquet facilities. The ground floor features retail as well as a separate 10 meter-high retail building.
The LEED-CS rating evaluates the entire project with the exception of the interior spaces of tenants. Heller Manus focused on creating a functional, advanced landmark building with energy efficient and environmental protection features. The building also maintains a level of fire protection and security, consistent with the national standards of the People’s Republic of China.
Some of the sustainable elements include decreased energy usage throughout the building; ground source heat pump; high performance curtain wall envelope; specially designed frequency system in the pump and fan control systems; occupancy sensor to allow greater management of individual areas; overall increased controllability of internal systems; use of regional materials; increased outdoor air ventilation and open spaces; maximized daylight and views; use of low-emitting materials; and reduction of building water use and water efficient landscaping.
