George Bacon, the director of the Department of Lands, said that the major areas of this renovation work on the building will be the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system and replacing the building’s windows.
The HVAC system of the two-story building is old and needs to be replaced. The furnace is also very old. Bacon was reported stating that the money for the office building renovation will come from the Department of Lands’ earnings reserve fund.
The project is out to bid and it will close on March 10, 2010.
