Located at 1301 W. Davis in Conroe, Chipotle Mexican Grill incorporates environmentally-sustainable design in an attempt to match the chain’s food-buying practices, which mainly involve sustainable produce.
The outlet, modelled after its Chelsea West location in New York, features the company’s latest layout with community seating and new lighting. The store is fitted with energy-efficient appliances, and features recycled drywall and paints that contain low volatile organic compounds (VOC). Chipotle also uses naturally raised meat and produce from sustainable farms in its burritos, tacos, salads and burrito bowls.
With the new location, Chipotle Mexican Grill operates 23 restaurants in the Houston area. Chipotle has plans to open 120 to 130 restaurants in 2010.
Chipotle operates restaurants in 33 states throughout the US, the District of Columbia, and Ontario, Canada. The average restaurant size is about 2,600 square feet and seats about 60 people.
