The new motor yacht Wake 66 was designed entirely by architect Francesco Rolla and Stefano Milanesi from Navaldesign & Consulting. The Wake 66 yacht model displays some features similar to that of the previous Wake 48 model. Since the new yacht is larger, the layout and some features of the boat’s interior are more intricate and complex. The two-deck and half, open, hard top yacht is built in two versions, with three or four cabins each with a private toilet. The yacht is engineered to cruise at above 29 knots, peaking at over 36, powered by twin 700 hp diesel Volvo Penta IPS 900 engines.
The Wake 66 yacht features more streamlined bulwarks that slope gently aft, making the sidelines smoother. The deck covering is designed to be flexible and can be adjusted to screen the sunlight completely, partially or not at all.
The hard top and the pilot station are located in the central part of the deck. The aft sundeck is body-shaped whereas the fore sundeck accommodates a three people large bed. The deckhouse is designed to be in elliptical form that defines and encloses the deck areas. The aisles are narrower compared to those of the 48 model. The two models differ because the 66 model is designed to be an innovative living area.
Two distinct sections are featured under hard top, aft a living room-bar and fore the pilot station. A multi-functional, oval-shaped block is positioned in the central part of this large area.
At the foot of the stairs is located the galley-bar area. The upper and lower deck, and the cabin interior and the outer deck are divided by this area. The sleeping areas – two guest cabins and VIP cabin – are positioned beyond the galley.
