Two years ago Stanley Furniture and Coastal Living teamed up to introduce the first Coastal Living collection modeled on a distinctive “cottage” look. The original venture was focused on traditional styling—Shaker, Sheraton, Hepplewhite—interpreted through a casual lens. Inspired by the carefree, diverse lifestyles of America’s coasts, Coastal Living Cottage included multiple style options available in 15 different colors and finishes, and organized into three distinct color palettes—Sea Glass, Pastel and Americana.

Debuting during the late 2010 High Point Furniture Pre-Market, Coastal Living Resort focuses on a clean-lined, casual contemporary style with a mixture of mixed media elements and an array of wood tone options for every room of the home.

White oak veneers and hardwood solids work with heavy distressing and muted, grain-baring finishes and paint colors to complement the collection’s natural contemporary look. Six nature-inspired paints, one light- and one dark-toned stain option, and two unique accent finishes offer consumers the freedom of a mix-and-match palette.

Blending a transitional cottage look with sophisticated contemporary lines, Coastal Living Resort features a number of design details that help to convey the collection’s look and feel of casual elegance. Some of these details include drawer fronts, shaped tops, contemporary stretchers, a maritime inspired X-motif, and tarnished steel pulls and knobs modeled after various nautical elements.
