The new eco-friendly, LEED project hotel, a member of the exclusive Small Luxury Hotels of the World, has the distinction of being Long Island’s only Feng Shui Luxury Hotel. The Viana Hotel and Spa has been designed by blending Chinese philosophy and green elements to create a unique and luxurious ambience.
The property features 103 guest rooms, 12 suites and a penthouse. The hotel features six spa treatment rooms and Marco Polo’s, a unique Italian restaurant with Asian influence. Rooftop solar energy system, energy-saving lighting, water saving features in the bathroom, guest towels and robes made of natural bamboo fibbers and eco-friendly furniture and décor are some of the other eco-friendly features incorporated into the design.
Five elements of Feng Shui, including fire, water, wood, metal and earth, have been incorporated to create a tranquil atmosphere throughout the facility. Feng Shui is a 3,000 year old concept which literally translates as ‘wind-water’ in English. It revolves around balance and receiving positive qi, which is a flow of energy.
