The 88ft Xue 88 is conceived as a river boat targeting the Chinese market. The entire design of the yacht featuring a wider body configuration, and a super structure, is in conformity to the typical Chinese lifestyle.
Feng Shui design elements have been used on the design of the interior area of the Xue 88. Mattia Congia has tried to create a feeling of ‘growth’ like roots growing from a tree and co-mingling along with its interior spaces. The use of Corian and wood as the primary materials on the interior spaces has helped in realizing this end.
The upper deck of the yacht features a spa pool area. This area has been designed as a special place promoting mental and physical well being. The galley area has been created in the tradition of the Orient, featuring a space where food and its preparation can be on display. The lower deck features living area space containing two large cabins for guests, a design that was developed based on Chinese social habits.
The hull of Xue 88 has been made from fiberglass and is engineered to cruise in shoal waters.
