Cree’s new Cree LMR2 LED Module is designed as a compact, high-efficiency module. It claims to offer a simple solution for lighting designers and manufacturers, who are in search for the best-in-class LED lighting.
The LMR2 module is incorporated with Cree TrueWhite Technology enabling it to provide efficient, high-quality light for a variety of applications where high CRI and efficacy are required; for instance; restaurants, retail and hospitality lighting. The 2.25-inch aperture of the new module permits enhanced design flexibility for applications including pendant lighting, sconces, wall washers, as well as small aperture downlights.
Designed to last at least 35,000 hours and dimmable to 5%, the LMR2 module delivers 650 lumens at colour temperatures of 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K and 4000 K with a 90 CRI. It provides a comprehensive solution with integrated driver electronics, optics and primary thermal management. Fixture manufacturers are offered the option to include a specially designed heat sink to accommodate high-heat applications, such as downlights.
