Sports Authority has leased 45,000 square feet of retail space at 7117 Regional St. in the Dublin Plaza Center in Dublin. The new location will have a main entrance facing Dublin Boulevard. The customers from a newly redrawn parking lot will be led to the newly renovated building through a beautifully landscaped, 12ft walkway.
The old-fashioned pebbled stone façade of the building, a characteristic feature of the 1970s commercial building, will be retained. The new shopping environment will be marked by a softer and more pedestrian friendly approach.
Sports Authority will construct its signature coliseum façade, even though the City of Dublin suggested a more distinguishing entryway. Besides the pedestrian walkway, some other features that will be added as part of the renovation project includes decorative paving, a bench, landscaping in the parking lot, and a bicycle rack. The newly landscaped parking lot will help in breaking the vast stretch between the building and the streets.
Sports Authority will be opening the new location in late 2011. The entity operates over 450 stores in 45 US states. Sports Authority has a rich history, dating back almost a century, in providing a wide assortment of quality, brand-name sporting goods.
