SpeedStar LED road lighting luminaire is designed as a carbon-neutral lighting solution which enables the creation of more livable urban environment. It features an easy replaceable compact flat LED engine which provides the flexibility of a modular system, resulting in bright, functional road lighting.
The lighting solution claims to reduce maintenance costs. It instills an easy-to-upgrade LEDGINE, which can be connected to lighting regulation systems for further energy savings. It also helps to minimise the environmental impact and incorporates a stylistic approach to appeal to architects and urban planners.
A total of 17 Philips projects were awarded in the ‘red dot award: product design 2011’.
