The new 700,000 square feet facility was opened in early May. The new hospital houses 186 beds, a larger emergency department, an expanded cancer clinic and a cardiac catheterisation lab. The new facility will also include a second linear accelerator and an increased number of beds in the intensive care unit.
The 34,000 square feet new cancer clinic will feature an infusion suite with 20 chairs, spaces for social and financial counselling, offices to accommodate growth in medical staff and more medical and radiation oncology examination rooms.
The new hospital also features several environmental features including roof-top gardens and photo cells that adjust lighting. The hospital features a nature inspired design that reflects the many faces of nature found in the Twin Falls area.
