The new line comprises various lamp bases and décor items. The design of these pieces draw reference from the conventional South Indian lamp called the Kutthuvillakku. The shades of the lamp are composed of the traditional khanaa fabric.
A few items of the new collection such as the tea-light holders and lamp bases replicate the look of traditional Indian pickle jars, also known as Barnis. The Varnam line further features a series of door knobs for home décor. The knobs don a glossy finish complemented by vibrant shades from the city of Channapatna.
All the products of the range have been handcrafted using conventional lacquer-ware method. This old process helps transform wooden pieces into artistic creations through a lathe or turning machine, hale (ivory) wood and vegetable hues.
