The residence hall, located behind the Commons building, will span 86,000 square foot covering three floors. It will don a L shape and will sport a total of 84 suites to house 322 students. The property will sport single and double suites, as well as community spaces for activities, group learning and socializing.
Bulk of the suites will feature double rooms consisting of a common area and bathroom. Some of the suites will be single rooms which will surround a common area.
The project has been privately funded by local banking institutions including Five Star Bank, Chemung Canal Trust Company and Elmira Savings Bank. The facility is due to open by 2013 end.
