The library covers an area of 15,000 square feet featuring children’s area, teens area, meeting rooms, a conference room, study rooms, and computer stations. It imbibes a host of eco-friendly elements such as 100% underground parking and a light colored roof which helps cool the building during summer and cuts down total energy consumption. The restrooms of the library have been fitted with low-flow toilets and other elements which reap water savings of 44% over traditional fixtures.

Reclaimed materials like furniture, flooring, doors and carpet constitute 30% of the total cost of all building materials. Further, locally-sourced building materials and recycled bookshelves comprise 34% of the total cost of all building materials. Diversion of over 95% of construction waste from reaching the landfills adds to the sustainability.
