Sprawling over a two acre site, The Vermont is located at the southeast corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. The Vermont scheme involves construction of two high rise buildings, which will accommodate 464- residential units and retail spaces, apart from dedicated public open space along Wilshire Boulevard.
To be built using sustainable construction techniques, the project will be a LEED-certified scheme. The two towers will be built around a quarter-acre central courtyard and will have an underground parking garage.
The ground floor of the building will offer approximately 40,000 square feet of retail space, which will consist of restaurants, a grocer, bank, dry cleaner and coffee house. Amenities for the residents include a full-service concierge, shared lounge-style workspace, a pool, high-end gym and spa.
Construction on the scheme is scheduled to begin soon with completion scheduled for 2014.
