Hyatt Regency Mexico City was formerly called Hotel Nikko Mexico which underwent a massive makeover and rebranding. The project has renovated all the 756 guestrooms and suites of the hotel.

The guestrooms have been redesigned to add an urban flavor to the rooms, which are being targeted for both business and leisure travelers. The elegant and comfortable guestrooms feature laptop-sized safes, flat panel televisions, and spacious workstations with dedicated lighting.

The amenities at the hotel includes two signature Japanese restaurants, called Benkay and Teppan Grill. The Benkay’s architecture and design redefines peace and tranquility, while Teppan Grill features a sushi bar, two private rooms and a large wine cellar. The hotel also features a pastry shop named Pasteleria, and Shelty Bar, an English style bar and Lobby Bar for casual business meetings or small gathering.

To meet the requirements of business travelers, the hotel comprises 28,500 square feet of event space, divided between 16 meeting rooms. The space can also be used for organizing board luncheons, wedding ceremonies and executive retreats.

Hyatt has earmarked a further investment of $40 million for further upgrades to the hotel over the next three years.
