The handmade piece is formed of blonde recycled maple wood. Its design is a 12:1 replica of the cassette tape. It incorporates notched gears made from short dowel rods while the four holes which hold the tape in the player are installed along the table’s edge. The clear cut out window in the centre, and the inner recessed rectangle in place of the label are among the various features of the table which are reminiscent of an old tape.

Dark and reclaimed walnut wood has been cut into a smooth narrow strip similar to the actual tape. The look is complemented by round sections which emulate the tape coils in the centre. A pair of Lucite slabs serve as the table’s support, and offer a floating feel to the table. The table top is covered by a Plexiglass sheet to create an even surface. The table top is also reversible like the old tapes showing side A or B.

The design of the item makes it ideal to be serve as a coffee table for any room.
