The office building is located at 3901 Calverton Boulevard in Calverton. The Calverton Corporate Center was formerly an outdated, four-storey building, which underwent an extensive $6.2 million renovation that converted it to a modern Class A office building.

The renovation of the building embraced several green principles, based on which it won LEED certification. The green initiatives include diversion of more than 80% of the construction and demolition waste from the landfills. Almost 95% of the existing structure of the building, such as slabs, walls and roof, was reused.

The building, both during the construction as well as operation, comply with the Indoor Air Quality Management Plan of Merritt. The renovated building features a double-storey glazed atrium, which bathes the inner spaces with natural light; and T5 lighting enabled with occupant sensors. The building is completely powered by green electricity.

The interiors have been finished with FSC-certified wood and low VOC products. The energy efficiency of the office is demonstrated by the use of energy-efficient HVAC system. The building has waterless urinals and dual-flush toilets, which trims down potable water consumption by almost 35%.

The building has water efficient landscape, which brings about water saving of 54%. This is rendered by means of reduced turf areas, plantation of drought-tolerant plants and usage of an efficient irrigation system featuring a weather station.

The company also has a policy for carpool and has a dedicated parking for hybrid cars. The US Green Building Council Maryland has named the property as the Best LEED Core & Shell Project in a Suburban Property.
