Sprawling over 60 acres site on North Bend Road, near I-74 in Green Township, the new hospital will be a 250-bed facility, which will offer the latest advancements in design for patient care and comfort. The new 638,000 square feet facility will accommodate Medical Care, OB/Maternity, Comprehensive Heart Care with Open Heart Surgery, Cancer Center, Orthopaedics Center and Women’s Center.
All patient rooms will be private and will feature a family-centered design. The rooms will have a family zone with a sleeper sofa and desk and large windows, which will bring in natural light and air into the inner space. All patient rooms will have a private bathroom and shower.
The waiting areas for surgery, the diagnostic center, and cardiovascular services will be placed along on glass atrium, which will bring in natural light and give unobstructed views of outside to the companions of the patients.
The hospital campus will be enveloped with abundant green space and water garden, which will render a natural, calm setting. The hospital has a 2.5-acre green roof, which is the largest green roof in the state. It is also surrounded by walking and bicycle trails.
