Designed by Denmark-based Henning Larsen Architects, the NCC headquarters will be a 16,800 square metre building consisting of six floors and each floor will be of approximately 2,790 square metre. It will feature reception, gym, personnel restaurant, conference center, coffee bar, bicycle parking and roof terrace.
The project on Østensjøveien 27 will be built according to the standard for passive houses. It will focus on issues such as CO2- friendly building materials, ample parking space for bicycles and access for public transports. It is aimed at reducing 50% of CO2 emissions.
The project expects to achieve a rating of BREEAM ‘Very Good’ which ensures a broad and thorough environmental focus throughout the entire development and construction process.
The building will be completed by December 2013. It will also host Norsk Dental Depot, among other tenants.
