The new campus of the Maggie’s Centre takes inspiration from the history of the area, and the nearby 1143-built St. Bartholomew, the Great church in particular. The design proposal of the company showcases a vessel within a vessel.

The new facility will be built at the site of former 1960s-built office space, which stands on the periphery of the campus. The building will have cylindrical shape with the interiors done up in bamboo. The building will feature coloured glass windows.

The estimated cost of the development is £5 million ($7.84 million). Maggie’s Centre aims to file the planning application in 2013 with plans to open the facility in 2014.
