The new theatre of Carmike will be located at the center court of the Apple Blossom Mall. The new Apple Blossom 12 will be a 12-screen multiplex, which will have a seating capacity for more than 2,400 guests in each theatre.
The theatre will be high-tech “BIGD” auditorium with a premium theatre environment that is rendered by means of large format DIGITAL with bigger screens, bigger sound, and luxurious theatre seating. BIGD DIGITAL Experience is powered by an advanced Christie Brilliant 3D flash projector that generates 30,000 lumens of light output, which creates superior picture quality with a resolution higher than HD.
Each screen will feature a wall-to-wall screen, which will be more than 60 feet wide and three stories tall. The theatres will be complete with the latest 7.1 surround sound system and DIGITAL projectors for both 2D and 3D movies.
The theatres will have plush leather high-back rocking seats, which will be placed in a stadium-seating configuration, which will render superior viewing. The new theatre is expected to open in early 2013.
