The new centre is poised to be the biggest centre of the brand. The TELUS Garden YYoga will be a 20,000 square feet facility, which will consist of yoga studios, including hot yoga rooms, a fitness centre, a 20-metre outdoor pool and hot tub, and an outdoor terrace as well as an amenity space and a kitchen.
The TELUS Garden YYoga will be located on the third floor of the TELUS Garden residential tower, a 53-storey LEED Gold-certified building situated at the corner of Robson and Richards in Vancouver.
The $750 million TELUS Garden will be Vancouver’s most technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable project. When complete, TELUS Garden will use at least 30% less energy than a standard development its size through the use of innovative technologies and practices, transferring excess heat from one building to another as needed, using solar panels to power some infrastructure, and capturing rainwater for toilets and garden irrigation. Located adjacent to SkyTrain, there will be facilities for bicycles and charging stations for electric cars.
The one million square feet development will also feature a 24-storey LEED Platinum signature office tower, public plaza, restaurants and other amenities. The office tower is scheduled for final occupancy in June 2014, with the residential tower scheduled for final occupancy by May 2015.
