The new IQcook IQ641AC induction hob is a stylish four zone induction hob made from black glass with a faceted edge. It uses IQ sensors to measure the cooking process, monitoring it accordingly. These sensors, installed in the hob and on the pan lid, automatically adjust the operation of the hob. The sensors aim at saving time and effort and are designed in a way to save money using 40% less energy than a conventional induction hob.

The IQcook induction hob features several pre-set frying and cooking modes, including steam cooking, slow cooking, frying, cooking with plenty of water, and grilling with three levels of doneness. The SmartSense safety function prevents food from boiling over or burning, and automatically switches off the cooking hob.

The StopGo function allows the consumer to temporarily suspend the cooking process in case of unexpected interruptions. One touch of the StopGo key freezes all settings, temporarily switching off all active heating zones until reactivated by the StopGo key.

StayWarm function allows the consumer to keep food warm at an optimum temperature. PowerBoost function is designed to enhance the performance of the hob, delivering additional time savings. Residual heat indicators illuminate to show which zones are still radiating heat, aiming at greater safety. SafetyCcontrol lock feature offers safety for children while the SmartControl touch controls timer function.

The IQ hob comes in dimensions: H x W x D: 47 x 600 x 510 mm. It is available in one 21centimetre zone offering up to 3.7 kilowatt, one 14.5centimetre zone offering up to 2.2 kilowatt and two 18centimetre zones offering up to 3 kilowatt each. The IQcook induction hob retails for approximately $1088.

The IQcook induction hob concept was launched at the IFA Fair 2011 and also won the Red Dot Design Award 2012.
