UNDA | Sleepless Design has launched three new products under its Unique Edition line, which includes Boreas sideboard, Lusitano Chiffonier and Leonor Bookcase.

The Boreas sideboard is inspired from the Greek God of the cold North Winter and the bringer of Winter. It is completely made of wood which has been punctuated by the use of metallic colours. The interior have been done up in repeated pattern structure lacquered in copper. The sideboard has two glass shelves, and has dimensions of 240cm x 80cm x 64cm.

LUSITANO Chiffonier was inspired in “Os Lusíadas”, usually translated as “The Lusiads”; a Portuguese epic poem by Luís Vaz de Camões. The UNDA | Sleepless Design team took a tour of Guimarães Palace for conceiving this piece. It is made from Blackwood timber highlighted by gold leaf and Indian hand-painted pattern. It has a dimension of 175cm x 80cm x 60cm.

Leonor Bookcase is inspired in the architectural visions of D. Manuel I, the 14th King of Portugal. It has a dimension of 225cm x 150cm x 55cm.

The Magni Collection comprises a screen divider- Gaudi; a desk-Lotus; Draco; Sisu floor lamp; Water Lily centre table; Torso table lamp; Dastan floor lamp; Valar Mirror; and Cassandra Bedside Table.

Gaudi is a colourful screen divider that is made of a circular stained glass and arranged in various sizes that can create a beautiful effect in the room when it interacts with light. Gaudi has a dimension of 180cm x 210cm.

The design of the Lotus desk embodies the purity and passion of lotus. It aims to capture the transition from the hard and cold winter to the blooming and joyful spring. The desk has a dimension of 180cm x 75cm x 65cm.

Draco is a piece inspired in Alduin, also called the World Eater, the Nordic God of Destruction. The piece has attempted to capture the strong essence of this dragon with some details. The outer part is coated with genuine leather covered with structures that resemble scales, and the interior is coated with bronze leaf, with an umbrella holder. The unit has a dimension of 140cm x 30cm x 30cm.

Sisu floor lamp routes its inspiration to Finnish culture. The lamp has been made of wood with a mother pearl leaf detail. The lamp is 175cm tall and 40cm wide.

The Water Lily center table roots its inspiration to the world’s largest water lilly Victoria Amazonica. The table has lacquered wooden structures with a frosted glass top, which adds vibrancy to the entire space.

Torso is a table Lamp, inspired from Turning Torso, which is the tallest skyscraper situated in Malmö, Sweden. The lamp is available in five shades of turquoise, gold, silver, red and hot pink. When seen from up, the design of the lamp resembles a flower. The material palate used in this lamp is wooden boards and plexiglass. The lamp has a dimension of 42cm x 25cm.

The design of the DASTAN floor lamp is inspired by the tale of “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” based on “1001 Nights”. It captures the shape of a Sand Tornado, made with wooden boards and finished with gold foil underneath each board. The lamp has a dimension of 175cm x 40cm.

The Valar Mirror is inspired by the jewels worn by the character of Arwen Undómiel in J.R.R. Tolkien’s book legendarium. It has been completely made with stainless steel. The mirror has a dimension of 140cm x 72cm.

Last in the series is Cassandra Bedside Table, which is inspired from the beauty of Greek princess Cassandra, the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba. It has been made out of wood and snake pattern fabric. The lamp has a dimension of 40cm x 40cm x 75cm.
