Sprawling over 244-acres, the Domain by Alta – San Diego is a master-planned community that is located in San Diego’s Spectrum Center business park at 8795 Lightwave Avenue. The scheme involved development of 414 rental units.
The scheme is a four-storey podium project that comprises two rental apartment buildings. The buildings are erected over two levels of subterranean parking, which offers space for 750 passenger vehicles.
The residential units are a mix of 23 studios, 197 one-bedroom and 159 two bedroom apartments. The development also involves 35 affordable-rental units. All the homes have wood laminate flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and in-unit washers and dryers.
The project has been developed around an expansive pool area featuring cabanas, a spa, barbeque pits, a waterfall and trellises. The clubhouse is a two-storey building which has reclaimed teak flooring. The clubhouse has a glass wall and a 1,200 square feet outdoor deck on the second-level building overlooking the pool. The clubhouse is complete with a fitness centre and wireless internet access.
The other amenities for the residents comprise a two-acre public park in front of the project, which has been developed by Wood Partners on land owned by the city of San Diego.
