Designed by the architect Luigi Marchetti of Studio Cibic, the 62-room, ten suites hotel is based on the classic Italian opera, which underwent a complete overhaul in 2010.
The interiors of the hotel has been designed on sustainable levels to match with the hotel’s overall eco-friendly concept. The bathrooms in various rooms and suites of the hotel feature Kaldewei products, like the enamelled shower trays in the Duschplan and Superplan programs, along with Puro, Ellipso Duo Oval and Classic Duo baths in Kaldewei steel enamel 3.5 milimetre. Based on Luigi Marchetti’ recommendations, Kaldewei’ products were used in all the bath spaces.
The eco-friendly Milano Scala features atmospherically designed lounges, and roof terrace lounges, offering the view of Milan’s historic centre. A special concept has been applied to preserve the charm of the ancient building, while incorporating the modern, future-oriented criteria of the eco-friendly building.
With the addition of sustainable elements, the luxury hotel is the first emission-neutral hotel in the city, which offers a heat recovery system to regulate the temperature and produce hot water by using renewable energy resources.
Kaldewei by giving importance to the eco-friendly aspect, produces elegant designs to meet the modern requirements of the sustainable building.
