Depicting classic Victorian architectural and design heritage, the designer has created an interior space inspired by English patterning and French luxury for diptyque.
The space features oversized library cabinets with multi-layered classic mouldings and fitted with secret cupboards in English brass, stained-glass fretwork and magical antique mirror to provide elegance and charm to the surroundings.
Complementing the bespoke Gothic revival wallpapers, the handmade furniture in walnut and turned brass adds more charm to the classic Victorian pressed ceiling while acid-etched brass ‘journey’ panels exude elegance to enhance the beauty of the place.
Respecting the history and culture, the designer focuses more on artistic inclusion and cultural assimilation. Entirely handmade by English craftsmen, the project is a study in bespoke design, which narrates the heritage of diptyque and history of Leadenhall Market simultaneously.
