The new headquarters of ALJ occupies 17th and 18th floor of the Jumeirah Business Centre in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai. The design challenge was to convert the open plan layout of the original space into a cellular office space.

The new headquarters is noted for its clean lines, which the company plans to adopt at its all global locations to be developed in future. The reception area features walnut veneer desk with back lit glass, which adds colour to the space and complements the logo. On the far side of the reception area, BDP has created a client waiting area, featuring smart leather sofas and armchairs.

Same colour palette has been used in the building as in the company’s logo. The colours are further complemented by a mix of materials, which further add to the aesthetic appeal of the place. Most of the spaces feature light timber, which at certain places, has been contrasted with maple doors. The executive space features walnut furniture, which is also contrasted by maple door. Maple is also used to strike a contrast with white system furniture.

The office space bathes in natural light. The designer has used back lit stretch ceilings, which creates an illusion of height and lift key spaces. For the meeting room, Interiors Group has used a bespoke AV maple wall, meeting table and acoustic wall panels.

The 18th floor features a large terrace, which serves as a break out area. The new headquarters approximately accommodates 131 employees of the company, who are being shifted from the company’s former headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon.
