The pop-up shop will be launched on 14 September 2012 and will remain open till 23 September, in line with Heal’s London Design Festival (LDF) 2012 activities. Heal’s and Melin Tregwynt’ collaboration to celebrate Melin Tregwynt’s centenary year will see launch of an exclusive limited edition collection of double cloth welsh wool furniture and accessories.

The collection is woven in a combination of heritage and exclusive designs and colourways by Melin Tregwynt. It features several pieces of upholstery, including the iconic Balzac chair by Matthew Hilton and best-selling Heal’s classics, along with coordinating home accessories, including lighting and cushions.

To support the LDF activities, an in-store talk will also be organised on 19 September from 6pm. This ‘in conversation with’ will see Eifion and Amanda Griffiths, owners of Melin Tregwynt, and designer Donna Wilson discuss topics including; the current trend for buying British, the use of British wool as a medium in contemporary design and the importance for keeping traditional skills and manufacturing techniques alive.

Melin Tregwynt first established in 1912 is still a working mill today, employing over 20 people and weaving in the traditional way in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast.
