The new version of the Bestlite Collection is the ninth edition of 1930-launched collection by Robert Dudley Best. The design practice also plans to showcase the design adaptation from mid-century designers Jacques Adnet and Mathieu Matégot at the festival.
The latest version is available in contemporary colours, with a traditional brass finish, which give the traditional Bestlite pieces a fresh, modern twist. The design is completely sympathetic to the original design and adds more softer and contemporary appeal to it.
The practice has added new colours and surfaces, such as brass, brass/matt white, brass/matt grey and brass/matt black to select Bestlite pieces, such as table, floor, wall and pendant lamps, including the BL3 floor lamp. The redesigned BL3 floor lamp features the original Ø 21 cm shade.
The practice will also showcase the entire Bestlite Collection, which will be presented in their traditional chrome/matte black, chrome/matte white and chrome/off-white finish.
Gubi will showcase all the products at Stand S5 and S6 between 19 and 23 September 2012.
