Located at Canary Wharf, London, the St Katharine’s charitable foundation has been used as a venue for meetings, receptions and personal reflection. It dates back to 1147 and enjoys Royal patronage. The foundation has installed the Dorgard wireless fire door retainers to keep the doors open legally and safely.
Blended with the interior of the foundation, the Dorgard Effects range is available in ultra high gloss finishes, including Mahogany, Beech, Oak and Ash. Featuring fire doors, the new devised Effects range is designed for the architectural interiors market to enhance the most sophisticated interior.
Providing a sense of security, the fire closes when the fire alarm sounds, preventing the spread of fire and smoke. Installed on to the bottom of the fire door in under five minutes, Dorgard listens for a continuous fire alarm of 65dBA or higher.
Featuring a wireless unit with fail-to-safe technology, it improves access throughout buildings in line with the Equality Act 2010. Accepted by the Fire and Rescue Service, the new range compiles with BS EN 1155.
