The company has installed 3,000 square metre of AltroSmooth Ethos flooring in the student bedrooms. The flooring has a timber-look and can be seamlessly blended. The products offer hygienic surface and infection control and supports high standards of cleanliness. To further increase its protection and cleaning credentials, the surface of the flooring has a factory finished PU coating.

The company has also installed 500 square metre of Altro Suprema II safety flooring in the kitchen diners, and 400 square metre in the toilets. Available in 40 colours, the Altro Suprema II is fortified with Altrosan bacteriostat that claims to improve its hygiene credential.

Altro has used its Altro Whiterock Chameleon wall cladding in multiple hues in the kitchen diners that have created a bold design statement. Vibrant solid colours were used along with more natural tones in a high gloss finish. The product is noted for its durability, water-proofing, wipe clean and smooth surface.

For the corridors, the company has used 300 square metre of Altro Timbersafe II safety flooring. The design of the new flooring matches with the existing flooring of the space. The sparkle free Timbersafe is available in nine true wood-look finishes that makes it suitable for heavy traffic areas. The flooring contains Altro Easyclean Maxis technology, which claims to increase its cleanability and colour retention credentials. Further, the technology allows use of less water and detergent for cleaning.

The Altro product range also offers an added benefit of easy and faster installation. The installation of flooring and wall cladding forms an integral part of the university’s six-year refurbishment programme.
