Integrating all technical details, the chair incorporates a simple structure, which corresponds to the capital letter A. This also inspired the designers to name the range accordingly.
The shell and frame of this stackable, linkable modular chair can be combined with various materials and colours. Exhibiting an elegant, innovative design, the chair features unified design techniques. The A-chair can be used in all versions and surroundings like, in rows or as an individual chair with armrests.
Retaining its refined elegance and coherence, the aluminium die cast or plastic frame of the A-chair can be combined with shells of different materials and in different colours. Available in a plastic version, the A-chair is characterised by the combination of different kinds of plastic to form a coherent whole. The plastic version was developed in co-operation with BASF.
To meet various requirements and levels of use, the chair can be made by combining hard and smooth plastic, i.e. smooth materials for the shell and strong, robust materials for the frame. The A-chair with the new combination of plastic frame and wood shell creates a comfortable sitting experience. To provide a stylish look, the chair features slender legs. In rows, they appear like a single leg, which tones down the whole appearance.
